Hey, sounds like turnabout to me... and that's fair play.
You see, you won't accept that those "computer bits" represent a real person on the other end, why should anyone show you greater consideration here? What's the difference between the pixels of your post, or the pixels representing your victim's ship?
I'm always amazed at how sensitive such people can be when they get back what they give.

Actions have consequences. Adults accept the consequences of those actions. One of those consequences is reputation. Don't expect to have a reputation as a "really nice guy" out of game if you don't act like one in-game.

It's really sad that you need hate mail to have fun. Fortunately, there will always be games to allow people like you to interact with others, in ways that your behavioral disorders don't prevent like they do in the real world.

Apparently, you're not good enough at that separation.
Your in-game actions still affect real people - the fact that you have to lie to yourself and tell yourself that they are just like NPCs shows that you have real, out-of-game issues.
Of course one needn't be a rocket scientist to predict your next line - after all, you're hardly one yourself.
